This second installment in my Woodland Watchers series was created entirely freehand over 30+ hours, burned slowly and intentionally into natural wood. The scene invites the viewer into a quiet forest moment rather than simply showing one.  
A bird watches from above , the silent sentinel of the woods. The deer stands grounded and aware. A squirrel climbs the tree, a mouse hides in the shadows, and a butterfly drifts through the light. Each creature offers a different doorway into the story, allowing every viewer to enter from their own path.
The composition unfolds in layers of depth and texture, shaped by the natural grain of the wood. No stencils, transfers, or templates were used. Every line was drawn directly with heat and intuition.
